Ho conosciuto Candida Höfer in occasione della collettiva Sei artisti tedeschi, al Castello di Rivara, nel 1989. Ero rimasto colpito dal suo lavoro e le proposi una personale, che venne poi realizzata nel 1994. Conservo gelosamente le fotografie che Candida ha realizzato al Castello di Rivara e sono stato molto contento quando ho visto che la foto scattata al Milchhof di Norimberga, dove mia moglie Carolin Lindig aveva la sua galleria, è andata alla Biennale di Venezia.
